Are

We
utilize the latest version of
AutoCAD.
What
Is CADD?
Viewing samples of AutoCAD drawings:
Before
viewing the bitmap sample drawings
at the bottom, I strongly recommend
reading the following paragraphs
about Autodesk’s DWF Viewer.
Autodesk is the producer of
AutoCAD.
Viewing samples of AutoCAD drawings
with Autodesk’s DWF Viewer:
The
AutoCAD application is an expensive
design application that is used to
create the CADD drawings. Many non-CADD
people, however, have a need to
review the drawings. That is why
Autodesk provides a free download of
its ‘DWF Viewer’ that is
specifically designed to display
true depictions of AutoCAD drawings
saved in the drawing web format (.dwf).
It allows the viewing of many
samples of drawings varying from
simple 2D to very complex 3D
renderings located on its Internet
site.
Other
DWF viewer advantages:
Besides viewing sample drawings, the
viewer allows for communication of
intent between the designer and the
client. Today’s FTP (File Transfer
Protocol) method of file sharing
permits the transfer of the drawings
between them via the Internet,
intranet, or VPN (Virtual Private
Network). FTP eliminates a lot of
face-to-face consultation and/or
traveling that was previously
required to achieve the same goal.
DWF
Viewer integrity:
As you
will see when you explore the “World
of DWF” page, the viewer is
completely safe and is globally used
by the most sophisticated design
entities. I strongly recommend
downloading it.
Get
the DWF viewer:
Click
here to download the
DWF Viewer, and then continue
reading about how to use it.
Using
the DWF viewer:
After
downloading and installing the
viewer, you can view all the sample
drawings on the site. You can do so
by scrolling to the bottom of the
‘Getting Started’ page after
clicking here:
View
Samples.
The
‘Getting Started’ page is the
default page for the viewer and you
can always return to the sample
views by performing the following
steps:
-
Open the viewer.
-
On the ‘Getting Started’ page,
select [Read the Documentation]
at the bottom. The ‘Help’
window appears.
-
In the ‘Help’ window, expand the
‘Getting Started’ topic by
selecting the plus sign (+) to
its left.
-
Expand the ‘What is DWF Viewer’
subtopic.
-
Select ‘Learn More about the
Product’.
-
In the ‘Learn More about the
Product’ window on the right,
select ‘…sample DWF files…’ and
the page with the samples will
appear.
-
To see all the samples, scroll
to the bottom and select ‘see
all’. The first drawing is
displayed, and the rest are
listed below in category and
number form for you to select at
will.
Bitmap
samples:
If you
choose to NOT download the viewer,
we have provided the following
bitmap samples that open in the
‘Microsoft Paint’ application. The
drawing quality, however, is far
below that which the DWF viewer
provides.
